I have an acrylic bug shield, but it is not one inch thick. It might be quarter inch thick and it come with the coach when I bought it brand new in 2003. "The shield is manufactured by Summit Products custom made. They are not Lexon. Lexon will dull up. These are acrylic and stay clear all the time with proper maintenance.
