I had a problem with Brake squeal on a car I had. Found out after much hassle, that some of the Brake Pads out there do just squeal. If they stop you and don't smoke and just squeal you may have to find a set of Pads that work for you. In other words, this is not the first I've heard of Pads making nasty noise. Check with Brake shops.
