I have a similar problem, and I keep it in check by using travel bars that hold run from the slideout to the RV wall. I just figured the slide needed adjusted, and I put it on the list of things to have fixed this spring.

On your second entry, I have heard people say that one should open a window when moving the slides to prevent pressure buildup. I don't know if that happens, but it may be a simple fix.
