Take it to an RV place and have them blow the system out with air. Or do it yourself. Rig up compressed air just past the water pump and blow the system out. Open each faucet one by one. Make sure the pressure isn't over 40 pounds. Then it's ready to go next time with no residue.
You need to empty that hot water heater.
