Bed issue sounds the same as our 2003 B+...looks just like yours but has a slide out dinette.
We lived with it on an 8 month trip to Alaska and for the last 4+ years of traveld ....survived but are hoping to do something different. Been using eggcrate padding in multiple layers...yuk.
