Here is where we mounted ours. Really close to the cabinet end it works fine for us. The 3m clip below is for cord management.
Hummingbird, we don't have a special TV or anything (cheapest we could find actually), and we wrap it in some polar fleece and put it under the dinette seat for travel. No problems so far.
