Default Jensen 185

The Jensen radio/cd/weather radio went bye-bye this week. Has anyone had problems with theirs? We are either going to replace this unit with another Jensen, or go the extra bucks to upgrade if this unit is problem prone.
Input is appreciated.

Hi...

Nothing on my end as of yet in regards it going bye-bye. But I have read on other sites that some have had issues with one guy on his third. Forget where I had seen it.

In any case, seeing the wiring is all setup for it, it would be much easier to just swap it out. Not to mentioned it does all the cams with auto switching. If you use a differnt system, it may not or would need to be wired for it.

I think I will order one as a standby replacement. LOL

I did a Google search, and found several sites with problems. I know the Jensen is not "upper" end equipment. Early on in our travels I swapped the Jensen LCD's out for Sony Bravidas, so we could enjoy HDTV.

The AudioVox will fit in the 1.8 DIN opening. A local stereo shop tells me a 2.0 DIN is so close that the dash opening will not need much widening to accept the 2.0.

You are right, David, however, my TM came before the side cameras. I noticed the next level Jensen has the ability to accept side cameras. I do not know if it is worth the expected extra installation headaches to wire them in, but have decided to go that way, anyway.

Thanks

I use ours all the time when we go camping. So far it works fine.

Thanks mailman. Ours is completely shot now. Flickers in and out, does not play CD's. I wonder if there is a short in it. Oh well, time for a change.
