Default Tongue jack

I have nothing to do with PPL. The little lady and I went down to their store this morning and purchased (among other things) a electric tongue jack. It normally sells for $270 and was on sale for $202 until the end of June. This puppy will lift 3500#'s. A little hefty for a Visa, but at that price, hard to beat. Comes with all the hardware plus the power line with a build in circuit breaker. If you are out of state the savings in taxes will pay the shipping. This will be very handy for those using a WDH where you have to lift the trailer and rear of the T/V to set the bars without getting a hernia. http://www.pplmotorhomes.com

We installed the electric jack this morning. Remove the three bolts holding the manual jack in place and lift it out. Place the electric jack into the same hole and reinstall the three bolts. Run the red wire to the + battery post and thats it. Being a 3500# unit, it lifted the front of the trailer and rear of the truck high enough I could set the WDH bars by hand. It goes without saying that to change the jack you must be hooked to your T/V or use jack stands to hold up the front of the trailer when you remove the manual jack.

I recently (last week) picked up my new 19ERD. I am considering putting an electric tounge jack on the unit but I have yet to find anywhere in my documentation that tells me if it takes the 2 or 2 1/4 inch jack. The one I want is the 2 1/4 but I hate to order it and then discover that mine will only take the 2 inch shaft. If anyone has an idea of this or where I can find the info I would appreciate it.

I believe it is the 2 1/4" as I went through the same thing in the fall. I picked mine up for $90 with adjustable foot height. Best upgrade to have.
