If the dealership would give you the previous owners Name and contact information, you could always talk to them about the RV. Hopefully they would be truthful with you about it's condition and known problems that they might be aware of.
But in reality, any coach of that vintage could be in good condition or......
depending on how the previous owners were on Preventative maintenance. One of the first indicators is the exterior and interior condition of the coach. Check the condition of the chassis and all the rubber hoses, belts and brake lines. Look for cracks and rott in the rubber.
One option is to take the unit to a mechanic and have it inspected.
Definately check the generator, if equipped, to make sure it starts, runs smooth and provides 110v for the air conditioner and all ac appliances.
Have the dealer plug the unit in a day before you arrive and have them turn on the refrig to make sure it cools as it should.
There is no doubt that you might have something that might need repaired. It is best if you can find it and have the dealer repair it before you buy it.
Keep us updated on what your decision is.
Good luck, Ron
