Default 1998 Ultra (W6266B) leak damage

Hi all! my first post on here, so please be nice
Just purchased a used, low mileage W6266B built on a Ford E350 Super Duty chassis and a Powerstroke.

I was aware that there would be some repairs that needed to be done as it had seen some water leaks, but now it looks a bit worse than I had hoped... So far I have pretty much ripped out all the plywood/insulation/plywood that was glued to the shell, all this is in the over head bed area in the front, and it seems that there is a reinforcement wooden piece (plywood, nailed together) that runs from side to side on the very front end of this bed area. Now, my question is, how it that locked into place? Has anyone else done this before, and are there any details that I should be aware of?

All advises are greatly appreciated, and if someone happens to have copies of drawings or other documentation related to the construction type used for these RVs, I would be happy to get a copy!

Thanks in advance! Best regards,

Joakim, Sweden

Thanks Easywind. Hadnt seen the video before, but unfortunately it wasnt very detailed on the structure and rebuild, IF it was the correct video I found. Im currently in the process of tearing down all the wood boards closest to the fiber glass shell, as it seems that this leakage has been ongoing for several years... As far as I can see, they are built from the inside and out, so the process is quite time consuming.

Hi again Sweden, whenever you want to come to NYC Greenwich village and trade rigs or I have a nice apartment and a 92 Ultrasport parked in Pennsylvania. I have done Europe a number of times buying and selling Westphalias in Amsterdam. Hope your project is going well.
