Default Onan micorquiet 4000 starts but does not run

My generator is 10 years old with about 30 hours on it. It starts when I hold down the start button but dies when I release it. I checked the ignition spark and it is good in the start mode but no spark when I release the start button.
Also when I crank it there is no voltage in the 110v power output line.
Thank you for your advice.

Sounds like it could be the low oil pressure shut down. It could be low on oil or just a bad oil pressure sensor.

The start switch bypasses the low oil pressure function. You can try to hold the switch longer to build some oil pressure. Or you can unhook the sensor. It's best to make sure the unit has oil pressure so it doesn't destroy itself while running with no oil pressure. Basically you need to determine if the problem is electrical or oil pressure related.
