Default Windows Don't seal properly

Folks,

Haven't had my unit out but I did notice once I got it home that I didn't play with the windows during the PDI. The 2 windows on each end of the slide are greatly mis-aligned. Each side of the window has a tab to pull in and it locks in little holes on each side of the frame. Well the holes in the frame are not level side to side. The window towards the front of the coach doesn't latch at all. So------- Does anybody know if you can unscrew the frames from the inside and re-align them. It is such a stupid problem that I hate to take it back to the dealer (70 miles away) if I can do it myself.

Thanks in advance,
Mike C

Hey Mike!

Before you try to tear out a window.......those little tracks are plastic and they move up and down some in transit! I discovered the same issue with ours last summer and couldn't believe how misaligned each side is.... until I let the window latch snap into one side and lifted or pulled on the window and the track slid into alignment with the other side. Give it a try, I'd bet it takes care of the issue for you too!

We have one window that the dealer says is working perfect and is just a good sealing window, but I can hardly move it and I hear some paper like a label rolling back and forth......I just can't see it. This one needs to come apart! The dealership service dept told me they looked into it but there is no way they could have! I will do my own service from now on I guess.

Good luck and let us know if this help you out!

Locdoc,

I was travelling and just read your thread. I will certainly try that. It does appear that they moved and I just couldn't hope\think that they were installed that poorly.

Many Thanks,
Mike C

LocDoc,

Didn't try it yet . Been travelling a lot and getting some snow. Likely I will try it this weekend but I do have faith in you. If it doesn't move easily I'll either spray silicone in the frames or just loosen the screws a little.

Mike

LocDoc,

It worked very easily in fact. Took me one minute. Thanks for the tip!
