Default front shocks on a 99 gulfstream?

I have a 99-gulfstream sun voyager 8324 diesel pusher. I want to replace the front shocks, but no one seems to know what will fit on it. and I have checked the shocks for any no's on them and they come back as front shocks off a ford van. that can't be right. so, if anyone who has replaced their front shocks could tell me what they bought and used I would appreciate it.

Feel for you.. Just replaced ALL my shocks and had a hard time getting parts houses to find the right shock. Eventually Freightliner gave me the numbers, but had to buy the shocks at Advanced Auto warehouse in SLC.

If you can get numbers off the original shocks and match them to available new ones, why not? Does not matter what else they may fit. Replacing old ones with the same thing, only new, is the goal, right? I've found that it is sometimes the only way to get correct replacements.

YOU NEED TO IDENTIFY the chassis, diesel pusher helps, now know= NOT F53 Ford, but someone smarter that me needs to tell us what chassis GS used that year for Diesel Pusher? Freightliner?

My 2001 GS Yellowstone 8407 is on a 2000 model year Spartan Mountain Master Chassis. If your Chassis is a Spartan, call them with the last six of your VIN and they can tell you Kona or other models shocks. Freightliner should be able to do the same. Coincidentally I have a mechanic coming this weekend to replace the shocks all around so I will try to remember to post the original part info.

Here are pics of the shocks that will be going on to my Spartan mountain master Chassis in a few weeks. Ordered them directly from Spartan with my VIN info at hand. Hope it helps. One issue to be aware of: the coach needs to be jacked up high in the front to get the lower bolt our of the shocks, past the tie rod connectors. The front wheel assembly has to come down a couple inches the allow for the bolt to get pulled out of the shock mount
