Default oil on plugs????

1987 32ft gulfstream chevy 454 engine 49,000 miles, i changed the plugs today and noticed a tad bit of oil on th back 2 plugs, nothing major the engine runs great no smoke only if it sits and then a puff at start up,should i worry and should i change my oil to another weight?? i noticed another forum 454's at 50,000 miles the back lifters get starved for oil.......just trying to stay ahead of any problems..thanks

I'd do a compression test on the engine. The back cylinders wear somewhat more than the front due to increased heat, and decreased water & oil flow. The back cylinders may be up to 10% less compression than the front ones.

If you get less compression, then squirt a little oil into the cylinder and see if the compression goes up. It that happens, you may need an engine rebuild.
