Default Need To Replace Air Pressure Guage

I just bought a 2000 Gulf Stream Sun Voyager DP. It had the original tires so I am having the tires replaced. The rear air pressure guage was not registering any air pressure, but the coach would lift fine on the air bags and when I stepped on the brakes you could hear air purge from the brakes. I had the Goodyear shop that replaced the tires check the air system and they said I had a faulty air pressure gauge. It's a Stewart Warner air pressure guage, but the shop told me this particular guage has been discountinued. The shop still has the coach and I didn't ask them if they were able to get the model number on the air guage (I guess I'll call them back tomorrow morning to get the model number). I was no ebay and they have guages. Sorry for being long winded. My question is do you know the model number for the air guage? I am hoping to just replace the air guage and not have to put a new type in that will require me to replace the sending unit as well...

thanks
Steve

Unless things have changed from 1995, your gauge should be mechanical and there fore not require a sending unit. Even if it is electric, as long as you stick with Stewart Warner, the sending unit should work. Most changes in gauges are aesthetics and do not affect the functionality of the unit.

thanks... I asked them to switch the front and rear guages and the guage worked fine. The guage has a 6 pin plug on the back of the guage, so I'm guessing it might be the wiring going from the sensor to the guage?

Well, good news on the rear air pressure issue. Took it into an RV repair shop two weeks ago. They identified the problem as the sending unit had gone bad. Unfortunately (or fortunately now) it took them two weeks to track down a replacement sending unit. Suppose to pick up the MH Friday. Looking forward to getting it back so I can work on the next project, installing a flat screen TV.
