Default Suburban heater anode problem

Where the anode screws in is a fitting with a "round" head, with a 1/4" pipe plug screwed into it.
I removed the plug and water and anode sludge came out.
I can't figure out how to get the round fitting out. Anyone see this before?
If I could find my sink basin wrench, that might work. If !
The rig is a 1992, and no idea of the heater year.

I'm wondering if someone removed your anode and replaced it with a drain plug. I don't think there was any configuration for an anode with a removable center.

The anode normally has a hex head about an inch in diameter, or almost the same size as the plug threads; the round part is the sleeve the anode screws into, I believe. On mine its inset into the tank body about 1/4".

Another forum had the answer.
The small plug is just a drain. The anode is installed on the other side of the heater.
Seems it's a early model heater.
Glad I didn't go ballistic trying to get it out!
