Default Roof AC Fan now rattes.

It is the rear Domenic on my SuperNova 6362. Now in Nashville, had 107 last night in Crosseville, TN. Ran roof units all day while running to Nashville, but now Rear AC Unit Fan is rattling like drum fan has a bad bearing. Though I have checked the fan for hitting side walls, it is tight on the shaft. I have even tightened the four mounting bolts and that seems to have helped but not eliminate the noise. Could the roof mounting gasket for the AC Unit have good south? As usual with this Goofstream there is no info on the AC Units. The rest of Bessie is running just great. Knew that was too good to be true.

On my 6331 SuperNova, the rear a/c fan made noises and then froze up. The entire blower unit was replaced under extended warranty. Like you, I was in a very hot location when the unit decided to give up and it was truly not comfortable until I could get back home and have the blower replaced.

Good luck,

TxTC

Always good to hear from you TC. Here in Nashville it has been HOT. At home in Richmond, VA, no electric since Friday. Planning to run AC until I get home. Only need it to cool down after day running. At night the front hold everything well. If the rear AC gives up, extended warranty time. Sounds like a bearing in the fan motor and a motor can probably be had from WW Grainger, but to break it down and replace it will be probably cheaper to switch the unit.
