Default dash air

Need some help on dash air in MH. It blows cold air when it works but is
making noise at same time. It's not a squeal or grind but a low growl
or moan that lasts a few seconds and it's intermittent, may be twice a minute or more. I'd hate to use it and break a belt. It only makes sound
with higher RPM's like driving and not at an idle. Sometimes I have to fiddle with selector switches to even get it to blow cold, that might be
associated with bad valve but noise is something else. Steve

Mine growls when its on hi-speed fan but I think that this is just vibration from the fan blade being off balance. it runs fine, but i rarely need to have it on the highest setting so it doesn't affect me.

I don't know if this is the same thing you are experiencing or not.

Thanks for the response. Mine is not fan related, I wish it was. The noise is
there on low or hi speed and at same intensity. I drove it yesterday to
campgound 20 miles from home and it blew cold air but made unnerving
noises the whole distance. I slid window open and it was loud enough to
be heard by the public I'm sure. Got to campground and turned it off, it
was embarrasing. I guess I'll have to take it to Ford.

ya, and while you are at it have ford confirm your warranty start date. My 2004 Motorhome is on a 2003 Chassis that was delivered to GulfStream in early 2003 so when i took it in in Sept-04 for a couple of things, the Ford dealer told me I had something like 15 months left on my warranty but I had only owned the MH since June!
