Default Bad battery?

Hi all,

Just looking for some insight. At the end of our last trip I unhooked water, sewer, and electric. Packed everything up and then noticed I forgot to put the slide in. I hit the button and nothing...the house battery was dead. I don't understand how this could be because the camper was plugged in all weekend.

I'm thinking I have a bad battery that won't take a charge or should I be looking at the charging system?

Thanks for any help, Dave

Default Re: Bad battery?

It could be either. Check all fuses. If they are good, your battery may be bad. Remember, the charging system is different in every rig. Take your time and troubleshoot logically. Start with where power enters. My last RV had a catastrophic failure inside the junction box where the shore power cord enters. A wire nut had come loose and shorted out. Thank God it was contained inside the metal junction box. Good luck!
