Default Extending Slide for Maintenance

The HDPE wiper/bushing (~2"x 1/8" X several feet plastic piece) on the bottom of the slide portal is broken and needs to be replaced. To do this, I'll need to extend the slide beyond the normal travel stop. My guess is to remove the interior fascia, back off the adjustment stops on the rams, then slowly and carefully extend the slide to maximum. Has anyone ever done this operation before? Advise? Cautions?

I think you had to remove all the trim to get it to extend farther, when servicing my rear slide I just lifted it up with jacks, I think I managed to get 1" clearance
