Default Inverter/Charger need for a 2008 Crescendo

Hello all and thanks for any help ahead of time..

We did a good bit of dry camping in our Class C now with the Class A we are looking to do the same.

The RV has no inverter so Iím looking to install one. Iím also looking to add solar down the road some time.

With that I am looking for idea on what size of unit I should get. I have done the amp math and we could get by with a 2000w size but with the price not that much more to get a 3000w and the fact we might be adding more later to the RV and or staying out longer so Iím leaning towards the 3000w.

Idea, thoughts and suggestions.

Thanks,
Buck

When the Xantrex went out in our Rv and Xantrex told me they no longer support the Rs 3000 I wewnt to the Magnum, It has more plug and play options you'll like with solar like Ah meter, I did have to increase the air flow capacity in the storage bin it was located, the Rs3000 being 3000watt pure sine and the Magnum 2812 is only 2800 watts of pure sine but I've never maxed it yet
at the time these people had the best price

now as your doing a new install, do you have 2 breaker boxes?
are you familiar with installing one completely?
In my breaker box there is a 220 breaker 30amp that feeds the inverter
the inverter feeds another breaker box, sub panel, that has the circuit's run off the inverter

Frutza, thanks for the input. As it turns out I was given a Go Power 2000w this morning and I cannot look a gift horse in the mouth and say no. But since getting the inverter/charger I have decide to ditch my 2 lead acid batteries get 2 lithium batteries as a start to building a larger bank for dry camping.

As to installing one, Nope I have no idea how to do but luckily I do have a buddy that runs a mobile RV repair shop and is a master electrician so it will cost a bunch of lunches and beer.

Thanks for the input,
Buck
