6245 heat system
We've recently purchased a used 6245. Heated air is only coming out of 2 of the 5 low mounted vents. I can't find any info in the owners manual about the heating system. Anyone familiar with this issue? (We're on the road & freezing)

And some good news: our 6245 is a 2021 model with the big V8 and after almost a 1000 miles this trip, pulling a 2005 Ford ranger we're averaging 9.2 mpg!!

Not familiar with your model but what do you have for heat? Single propane furnace, two propane furnace or AquaHot? If a single propane and you have some heat, then the furnace is working. If dual propane, perhaps only one is working. If AquaHot, sounds like only one zone is working.

If talking Coach, it has 2" flex, and can be disconnected, or damaged. If talking cab, low/ no heat is often a first symptom of low level in radiator?

Thanks you both for replying. You've brought up some interesting possibilities. Yes, I'm talking about the coach, and it never occurred to me that I might have two heaters. I only have one exhaust vent on the outside,, so I'm assuming that I have one heater. The possibility that I have damaged/disconnected vent tubing is a possibility that I'll checkout. The reason that I brought this question to the forum is that there might be some way to control the flow like maybe with the thermostat control? It's weird that hot air only comes out of 2 of 5 registers on a nearly new motorhome. The search continues...

With RV’s, “new” simply means you haven’t had a chance to find all of the manufacturing issues yet!
I have a 2021 6245 and have not had a heating issue. As mentioned above, I’m sure your issue is ducting has become detached rather than a furnace issue.
Best I’ve gotten towing my Jeep Wrangler is 9.0. Most trips it’s 8.8

I certainly agree with your comment regarding "new" RVs.
This is our fifth RV (first motorhome), and although I've basically had to rebuild all of them, this one is by far the worst ever! Although it only had 5000 miles on it when we purchased it, the unit is virtually self destructing - especially on the interior. Ok, I got that off my chest!
The good news is that the 350 chassis and the big V8 are Wonderful - so glad that we insisted on a 2021 or newer to get the bigger V8! And now over 2000 miles into our maiden voyage, we've averaged 9.6 mpg towing our 2005 Ford Ranger!
Cheers!

Most plumbing and 2" subject to damage will be under sink, pull drawers to inspect. Things bounce out of drawers, or rodents are two possibilities. Bath tubing/ plumbing may have special NO STORAGE outside access door?

No way to control heat airflow thru thermostat or other. On mine, one two inch goes to bath, another under toilet/ shower to reach head of bed area on passenger side. Suspect other goes thru floor to bays/ cargo/plumbing, then back up under sink to plumbing, then back to foot of bed area grill.

That's really good info, thanks!
On our we only get airflow from the outlet by the coach door and the one on the side of the bathroom vanity! Obviously something's amiss
