Default How's the campin'?

Now that summer is in full swing (for those of us who have to deal with 4 seasons) I was wondering how the camping is for everyone.

My wife and I went out in mid-May for our wedding aniversary. First time we've been out camping without the kids who were left with grandpa and grandma.

We stayed in a really nice county park in Sturgis, MI. We had the whole park to ourselves. Our site sat up on a hill overlooking a small lake. It was very peaceful and pleasent place to spend our 15th anniversary together.

We just finished a week of camping at Fort Custer State Park in BattleCreek, MI. We were with grandpa and grandma and my wife's brother's family; all who have their own trailers also.

The weather was great, the swimming and fishing were fine. It was a great time except for the mosquitoes who would eat you alive.

We have another 2 week vacation coming up in August. Can't wait.

How 'bout you?

Hi Tom, we are leaving sunday for three weeks, heading out to Colorado, Bryce Canyon Utah and the Grand Canyon and anything else we can think of along the way. We usually just set a direction and go from there!
Glad to hear your enjoying your camper, most of the posts here seem to be about problems.

We are actually living in our camper while we house hunt in the DC area. Recently transferredd from Indiana to DC. Other than the foot of rain over the weekend we have had 5 weeks of great weather. This is working out great and we are really having a good time.

Only one camping trip scheduled this year due to hubby's broken foot. We will be in northern Michigan for a week the beginning of August - an Outdoors Adventure park (Dad's a member so we can camp cheap) in West Branch.

Hopefully another one in September or October.
