I have an ERD (19 feet) and I get about the same mileage as you with a Acura MDX, I get between 10 and 12 mpg, depending where I go.

2012 Visa 23BHD towing with 2008 Toyota Tundra Crewmax: averaging low to mid 11mpg, Travels have taken us around New England and Upstate New York thus far, with the inaugural trip home through PA, so pretty hilly terrain so far.

Our gas mileage with 2005 Nissan Murano pulling a 19ERD was 10 to 12mpg. We now pull it with a Mercedes diesel, ML320 SUV and get 12 to 14 mpg average, topping out at 16/17mpg on slow, flat roads,

2011 Dodge Ram Quad Cab1500 4x4 Hemi Towing a 2012 Visa RBK getting 6.5 to 7.5 towing at 55 - 60 mph. This is towing from North Dakota to south of Dallas, TX. Truck is new with less than a thousand miles when we left ND. I did not think the mileage would be this bad. I am hoping it will get better.

12 to 13.9 with Nissan titan and 23RBK. I try to stay at 60 MPH, about 1500 RPM, using the tow mode, which does not give me much power.

VISA 19 ERD pulled with 2011 Toyota 4Runner. 11-12 mpg at 60-65 mph. Head-winds are hell, tail winds are wonderful.

2012 Honda Pilot EX-L 4WD pulling a Visa 23 BHD weighing in @ 4100lbs loaded.

Best MPG trip average = 12.4
Worst MPG trip average = 10.3

All calculated by my smartphone "FuelLog" app.

Anyone who tows a travel trailer with a Honda Pilot will need LT or Ultra High Performance tires to replace the very mushy OEM tires. Its not the weight load rating, its the very stiff sidewalls needed for lateral stability. I opted for 19" wheels and ultra high performance summer tires vs 17" wheels and LT tires. I am very happy with the results!

OK first trip with our 2008 Chevy Trailblazer I-6 and 19 ERD ... weighed in again before the trip without WDH front axle 2340 rear (drive) axle 3420 trailer axle 3340 water tank full, waste tanks empty, fuel tank full

2.5 hour trip to Sebastian Inlet State Park kept the speed down to 60mph or less. 11.5 mpg. Estimated 12mpg going; measured 11.5 return trip.

Disappointed.

We used to have a Scamp 16ft trailer (2100lbs) that we towed at 70mph with a 4 cyl 5 spd Chevy Colorado and got 18mpg ... tried one tank at 60 and got 21mpg.

We bought the new camper figuring that 19 ft and the advertised 500-600lbs more should tow behind our Toyota Van and get 15-16 mpg but that rig only gets 10mpg. The Trailblazer with an advertised 65 hp more doesn't do enough better to justify the added cost.
