My Vista Cruiser Mini was hit on the sixth of June. I took it to a local repair shop. It took over a month to get a quote put together. I was just told it was going to be until december before all the parts were going to ship. Six months how can this be? Who can help me with this?
Unfortunately John, our coaches/trailers are not mass produced. Body panels are very specialized & only enough for say a month's production, are ordered & stocked by the factory. Often these parts have to be special ordered by the factory from their supplier.
A frustrating example (but understandable) is the front cap panel of a class A. It changes every year. The factory just doesn't believe it can keep replacements for prior years in the warehouse. Another example is the windows by the former Creation Designs. They are out of business and other companies make windows to different dimensions/specs. You cannot get a creations window replacement.
Don't misunderstand, I'm NOT defending Gulf Stream for their lack of replacement/repair parts. I'm merely pointing out why this happens.

into the second month, still no roller for my slide, they even sent 2 rollers and both are not the right one, when will the parts dept learn how to handle parts and ship the right ones.
After a 2 month wait I got my parts, they came from power gear and not GS. Gs sent the wrong parts and never could get the order right. It is a long hard fight to keep our units on the road. They build them, they sell them and we pay for them and they should support us with parts.
