Default 38 gallon tank in 5291 is realy 27 gallon.

Went to dealer again on my fresh water tank. If you are lucky enough to get 38 gallon in it, after a few miles if not sooner according to where your vent and fill hoses are you will milk or siphon your tank down to 27 gall or less. Also I can't reach or touch water pump, let alone service it for winter.
Is there a person ar factory that cares?

Are you saying you know where the water pump is and you can't get to it or are you saying you can't find it?

In my Ultra 6316, it is behind a panel under the kitchen sink. You remove 2 screws to open the panel.

water pump is under the bed in rear.nearest to the wall slide. when new you also need to clean debris out of this after lazy workers dont bother.I think if the factory spent about 10 more man hours per unit GS would be a good product.

Glen,

I had the same problem with mt BT 5291. My rv dealer (Best Buy Rvs) pulled the slide and shortened the fill and vent hoses to allow the tank to be filled to the top.

Default Problem fixed at Sullivan RV

I was at Best buy several times and couldn't get them to understand the tank problem. If your tank is 2 1/2 " from top you are holding 27 gallon of water, if it is at the top you have around 38 gallon. Sullivan agreed to the problem and fix with me and factory went along. They removed the gravity fill and put in a city fill. Then they ran vent tube over tank and out the floor by the drain.
Thanks Sullivan RV of Decatur, IN
