Default water pump/fresh water tank problem

I'm having issues when using the water pump. When my system is pressurized all is OK. However, when we start to use the water and the pressure drops the pump, instead of ramping up and repressurizing the system as it should, just runs at a low speed continually, even after the water is shut off. The only way to make it stop is to fully open a faucet, and after much spitting and sputtering, the pump will finally ramp up to full speed and repressurize the system. The pump was replaced by the dealer under warranty, but I don't think they found the root cause of my problem since it persists.

I think the problem is on the tank side since when I run the pump using a bucket of water as my source it works fine.

My unit is no longer under warranty. Can I fix this myself? Do I need to drop the water tank? Any suggestions?

I would check the feed line from the tank. Is there a filter that is plugged? Or maybe the line is kinked somewhere, or could it be that the line is too soft and is collapsing when the pump runs?

Thanks for the reply, Tim, I will take a closer look at the inlet line while the pump is running. No, there is no filter, this is a lower end travel trailer and I guess Gulfstream didn't see fit to put one on this model. Maybe I should add one...

RVWizard - have you any experience with this type of issue?
