Default Walking on Roof

I just purchased a 2007 Gulf Stream Ultra 6254. I want to do some maintenance on the roof. Is it okay for me to walk on the roof? If so, do I need to lay do a plank to walk on to prevent damage to roof/rubber? Thanks! I am a newbie to motorhomes and wanted to ask before doing.

It's fine. Just wear soft-soled shoes like sneakers or running shoes.

I have a 2006 Gulf Stream Ultra 6316 and am up there once a trip on average.

One of the best things you can do for roof maintenance is to sweep it off with a broom periodically.

When I walk on ours you can see the roof cross members through the rubber roof if you look closely. Try to step as close to these as you can and you should be good to go.
