Default Water Heater in 5211B 2004

Do I need to open the diverter valve under the bottom drawer to get water into the water heater?

Then do I run the water pump to fill it and turn on the water heater on the panel and wait for it to heat up?

Help? Sorry I am a newbie and going through the systems on my RV and this is the last one to try. Help please.

Yes and yes. Just make sure you have all the air out before you turn it on. You can do this by turning on the furthest faucet from the heater and wait for all the air to come out.

Thanks for your quick reply.

So I turn on the hot water faucet in the shower or sink in the bathroom and let it run for a minute or two and does running water take the air out of the line? Am I understanding this right?

Air will come out at first(if the hot water heater has any air in it). Let it run until it's all water no air.

I followed the above steps. I turned on the water heater and the light on the panel was red then switched off, I am hoping that was lighting the pilot light. Waited about 20 min. but no hot water. I went outside and the unit was hot. Any suggestions?

I suggest that you go back a step and learn how your water heater bypass works.

I have a 07 bt. If your by pass valve is in the correct position, you my have a worn out check valve. The check valve prevents cold water form entering the hot water system. Mine was faulty. Replacement was less than 10 bucks online.
