Default Surge Suppressor for 50 amp RV

How do I know which surge suppressor I need for connecting to camp electrical service if I have a 50 amp electrical plug in my Sun Voyager. Most of the time I would need to use my dog bone to get down to 30 amp or even 110 at home. So I’m thinking I need to get the 50 amp one and use it all the time, right?

Yup. Just like the dog bone. Costs about $100. Use it all the time.

If you can part with the extra money, I recommend the Hughes Autoformer to protect against low voltage situations in addition to surge protection.

Hughes autoformers does exactly what it says on the tin. The voltage at an RV park once dropped to 99V and sometimes didn't go above 105V. after I first plugged this in I saw that it had a loose connection within the socket connector and also the voltage was already ramping up. The voltage before plugging within the amp was 103V but went up to 117V and 113V with the AC on. My air con motors are much happier in this manner.
