This weekend I noticed that my two house batteries were low according to wall panel. However still strong enough to pull in the slides abnormally slowly.

I then noticed that the 80 amp charge line breaker between the converter and batteries was tripped.

I reset the breaker. The converter was then charging the batteries again. Alas after three minutes the breaker would trip again.

I am wondering if the issue is the converter or the breaker or the batteries?

What would cause the converter to be able to charge the batteries for only three minutes before tripping the breaker to the batteries?

Most likely would be a bad cell in one of the batteries...did you measure the voltage when the charger was operating?

How old are the batteries? Are they both the same manufacturer and age/condition etc? Charging lead acid batteries in parallel requires them to be well matched...

Of course it could be a bad converter...and much less likely would be the breaker itself. Nothing is impossible, but start with the most likely.
