Broken Wiper Arm - Help!
I broke the retainer that holds the spring in the wiper arm (passenger side). The spring holds the wiper tight against the glass. I want to replace the entire arm but can't get it off.
A bolt comes through the front cap and is held in place by a nut covered by a rubber boot. The bolt extends through base of the wiper arm and the arm (I think) is held in place by another nut.
I removed the outer nut but the arm will not come off the bolt. I've been spraying the exposed threads with PB Blaster and tapping the arm with a hammer, but it won't budge. I'm afraid to apply too much pressure or twist too hard.
Am I doing something wrong or missing something? Should I keep spraying and tapping on it?
