christian, First welcome to the forum! When I had my 88 Pace any motor or chassis parts were looked up under a p-30 chassis with a 454 motor. Just remember the production date as most MHs use the previous years chassis.

Hope this helps you some!

Earl

Well first I would try a regular auto parts store, There parts lists will list parts on the chassis and motor. I have no idea of how Auto Zone is in your part of the country but here in RI they are good for only cleaning supplies oil filters and such, Any parts that I have bought for my cars were always Junk had to replace them at least three times before I got one that worked for a while only my experience with them but maybe you will have better luck! If you are looking for motor parts other than plugs, wires, filters and such I would stick with a GM or regular parts place, It may cost a little more up front but it will save a lot of aggravation in the end.
Have you tried to google the 454 and p-30 chassis? some times there is a lot of info there I do it for my 8.1 and workhorse.

ENGINE SIZE IS BASICALLY 61.2 TIMES THE NUMBER OF LITERS SO A 5 LITER IS A 305.......A 5.7 LITER IS A 350 SMALLBLOCK....IN THE OLD DAYS 7 LITER FORDS WERE 427 A 454 IS 7.4 JIM K

Hi Christian:
A 454 cubic inch engine is a 7.4 liter.

Christian:
I don't know if I answered your question.

Hi Christian:

I do not know if this helps, but the end result is that you multiply the cubic inch displacement of any engine by .016387 to get the liter displacement of the engine.

Mathematically,

2.54cm = 1 inch cubing both sides gives

2.54 x 2.54 x 2.54 (cm cubed) = 1 x 1 x 1 (inch cubed) which multiplies to:

16.387 cm cubed = 1 cubic inch Therefore,

454 cubic inches = 454(16.387) cubic cm This equals 7439.698 cubic cm

converting to liters 1000 cubic cm = 1 liter Thus 7439.698 cc = 7.439 L

Conversely, you can multiply the liter displacement of the engine by 61.03 to get the cubic inch displacement of the engine. (Go Blue is correct)

Safe travels

Christians:
Sorry, it must be the weather. You asked about parts.

In my previous MH, I could take the engine # to the Chev dealer and they could match correct filters, spark plugs, etc from that number.

Most autoparts stores can also cross-reference filters between brands. I.E. if you note what kind and number of filter you currently have, the autoparts store can cross reference that to the brand they carry.

In the end, oil and air filters are items that I choose not to cut corners by buying cheaper knock offs. I'd recommend you stay with filters made or endorsed by the manufacturer of the engine you are servicing.

Safe travels
Rick
