Default 2002 Mako Dump Plumbing Question

Used to be a popup camper and decided to make the jump. Just bought a 2002 Mako 5er. The galley drain is behind the black water "T" handle valve so I have to dump the black water to empty the galley tank. What is with that? Wondering what others have done about this. Lived with it or reroute the galley drain? Any ideas will be helpful.

Thanks

Ray
