Default Electrical Issue - Conquest 6331 Super C

Hi there,

I have the above motorhome that is sitting up at our State Fair with my adult son and some other 4Hers. After driving for 2 hours we parked and set up. At first the electrical didn't work at all either plugged in or on batteries. Every time we plugged into 30 amp the breaker would blow. Finally we found that the four breakers in the battery compartment were tripped so we reset them. Now we had electricity as long as we're plugged into the 110 slot (still blows if we plug into 30 amp). However, the slides will not open. Apparently there is another breaker or switch somewhere in the coach, although no one at GS or the dealer knows where. Jacks work so apparently it's not a hydralic problem. We've tried the following to get the slides out:
1. Emergency switch, hold down for 20-30 sec. engine running and not running, try slides
2. Move driver's seat all the way forward
3. Button or switch under the driver's seat? Can't find one.
4. Check fuses
5. Fuse box at driver's feet? Can't find one.
6. Bottom of kitchen base understove - box with breaker? - Can't find one.
7. Breaker in 3rd compartment on driver's side, separate breaker - Can't find one.
8. Check wires behind switches - all ok
9. Batteries fluid check
10. Hydralic fluid - ok
11. We've looked in every exterior compartment of the coach.
Does anyone have any ideas of items to check?
Thank you,

Alison

Without getting too detailed, I also suspect your shore connection ("30 amp"). Are the state fair ground outlets new or been there for a while? If new, could be they're wired incorrectly, in which case, jump out of your rig when exiting. Don't mean to scare you, but there can be a danger if new or temporary wiring was done incorrectly.

Are you using an RV "dogbone" to convert to a 50amp connector? It is NOT a standard, household adaptor. You MUST have the RV-intended plug.

Do you have hydraulic slides or electric slides? If the jacks work and you have hydraulic slides, your problem is not electrical. If it's electric slides (I'm not familiar with them) and the parking brake IS on, then perhaps there is a tripped cuttout right on the electric motor. You would have to find & press a (red?) button to reset it.

Class C: fuse block in engine compartment?

These are just "WAGs" (Wild A'd Guesses)

Ok, Check by your left leg in Drivers seat. Is there a carpeted

Panel?? Find the screws (Usually a "Star Tool") and remove the panel.

should be several fuse boxes there. Next place i'd look is under the

bed. GOOD LUCK !!

Best Regards, Clyde
