Default R-POD Meet

Just received some photos of the second annual R-Pod meet. It was held at the horse park in Lexington KY. They had 28 R-Pods and two T@B's show up along with 5 of the Forest River factory reps. Looks as if everyone had a good time. We were going to go but our family dentist is enjoying his vacation with our vacation money. This might be something for the VISA community to shoot for next year. By then there should be many more VISA's in our growing community. We got involved with the Pod group when we had our MPG, which was very simular to the Pod, and will be attending the Texas meet this coming Columbus Day.

We would be game for something like this if it was somewhere near our neck of the woods!

Under your profile could you please add your state? So far we have a TX, a GA, and a ? that might like to get something going for a meet. Be neat to pull into a campground and see 20+ Visa's sitting together.

Done! We're up in New England, so a bit of a poke from TX and GA.

And I agree, a whole mess of Visas together would be a great sight!

Kentucky might be a good place, it would be a drive from TX, but it would be fairly central and I've never camped in Kentucky so it might be fun!

Default Carrollton TX.

Don, we will be up in Carrollton on 15, 16, 17 July. We will be staying at the Sandy Lake Carefree RV Resort. We have some friends that live in Carrollton that are to come over to the park. Not my first choice but they only live about a mile from the park. Also noticed there is a amusement park right down the street. The kids might like that.

Haven't been to Sandy Lake in years. But they have a great pool, some fun rides for small kids, miniature golf. We used to have our company picnics, and annual Softball game out there. I would stop by but we're loading up on the 15th and headed East. We're going to hit Natchez Mississippi, then come back through Tennessee camping in Chattanooga, Nashville and Memphis.

I have long had a desire to jump on the Natchez Trace and run it from one end to the other. We spent 3 days at the KOA south in Chattanooga, nice, quite, and a huge pool. Rock City, Ruby Falls, Inclined Railway, the Tennessee Aquarium (huge), Lookout Mountain, and the river boat tour. There is a million of things to do just south of Knoxville in the Pigeon Forge area, but is fast becoming a expensive tourist trap.
