Default Jacking up Trailer

I have a 2013 Visa 19ERD and would like some input on how to properly jack up the trailer to change a tire. I am planning on buying a 4 ton bottle jack this weekend since the trailer did not come with any type of jack. All input would be appreciated.

Default Re: Jacking up Trailer

I place the jack on the frame just in front of the axle mounting bolts usually using a block of wood between the frame and jack head. This puts the jack somewhat behind the tire but my handle is long enough to reach it no problem. I have also put the jack under the axle mounting bracket. Either works but you need a good 6 plus inches to raise the wheel off the ground because the torsion axle extends as you raise the frame. I also put blocks under the opposite wheel and unless you're parked on the straight and level, you should probably be hooked up to your tow vehicle with the parking brake set.
