Default Clear Hydraulic Fluid Leak

I have a 2006 GS Crescendo (Diesel Pusher). A major Hyd. fluid leak (gush) has developed somewhere between the engine and transmission. The fluid flowing out is clear. The fluid in the transmission is red (TranSynd). I'm thinking this is a separate hydraulic system from the transmission that operates the slides and jacks. The system is pressurized when the engine is running only. Currently the slides are in and the jacks are up. I am looking for a way to disable this system so the coach can be driven to the shop for repairs. Ten miles. Any thoughts? Thanks.

I would not attempt to drive it at all (or even idle the engine if that is when it pours out...)

On my 2007 GulfStream diesel pusher (which admittedly is a Tour Master...) the slides and jacks are a completely separate system with its own reservoir and powered from a DC motor and not from the vehicle engine.

Are you sure it is oil and not treated coolant? Whatever it is you MUST not drive the vehicle...

I agree with Chuck. I would not drive it without knowing what is leaking. It could be something critical to the operation of the coach.

Thanks for the reply guys. I agree 100%. Can not drive until I figure this out. Right now the situation is this:
1. The fluid spraying out is clear, relatively thin and has a strong chemical smell to it.
2. The engine coolant in the Radiator/Overflow Reservoir is red and properly full. Cat coolant
3. Transmission fluid is red. TranSynd
4. Coach has air brakes there should be no brake fluid
5. Nothing sprays out when the hydraulic jacks are operated with out the engine running
6. The hydraulic system that operates the slides uses regular automobile automatic transmission fluid. It has a slight yellow tint to it, is much thicker and does not smell like what is spraying out.

Even if It is a broken line of some type and I can repair it, I still have no idea what the fluid is or how I replace what has been lost .
Any thoughts?
Thanks.
Bill

The only other fluid on diesel coaches would be DEF -- but your 2006 coach would not be new enough to require that, I believe...

How about the fluid off the air compressor? That is about the only other thing that would be by the engine, because power steering fluid would be in front I suppose and is pink in color.
