Question Swivel Front Seat.

I have a 2003 5230 BT Cruiser. Is it possible to change out the front seats for the swivel model. I just want them to face each other and put a small table between.

I don't see why not. Are you sure they are not swivel already?

Question swivel seat base

Has anyone replaced their seat base with a swivel base in their BT? I saw this one on the web. I was wondering how it fits and is there room for a small table between them.

I had checked into it for my 2018 BT2450. The RV dealer said they checked with Gulf Stream and Gulf Stream said they do provide it as an option on newer models. They first weld more structure to the frame underneath the cab and swap in narrower seats with less padding than the ones supplied.

So they suggested I buy a new model with the factor option. The cost difference wasn't attractive to me so I kept it as it was.

I would be very interested if you are able to do it yourself and what obstacles are really involved.

Good luck! Cary

Default swivel seat base

It worked perfectly. First you need three ratchets to take off the old seat base. a 55 star socket, 16mm, and 15mm. You need to unplug the seat belt alarm. Remove the old base attach the new swivel base, reattach the alarm and your done. A swivel seat to work on my computer or more space for company.
I did the passenger seat but if I could do it again I would do the driver side. You can't face the passenger seat all the way around because of the couch.

It was so easy. It took about 45 min. You just unclip the seat-belt sensor wire, unbolt the four bolts on the floor and then remove the seat. Remove the seat from the old base. Put on the new one, bolt it back to the floor and reattach the sensor wire. You move the seat a little forward and put the seat back up and it swivels around no problem.
In the 5210 with slide the passenger seat can only move to about 120 degrees because of the couch. The driver side can face back.

Hi bbaluski!
Thanks for publishing the installation process and all the pictures. This looks great. I don't understand why I got the answer I received when I checked into it for the 5245. I will definitely be checking into this!
