Default Re: 2007 tourmaster/ slide cables

We just had a broken cable fixed at camping world outside of Portland
It was on the passenger side bedroom slideout
We have a gulfstream g8 2005 mfg 2007 invoice.
The cable may have been broke a long time as the slide was moving in crooked and wore into the floor of the slide causing us to put metal runners on the slide bottom and patching the base.
We had quite a list of repairs that had been collecting -- costing over $6,000 with only $1,000 covered under our "very best" extended warranty.
I wonder how many other cable out there are broke
Look for unusual wear on the bottom of the slide when it is out.
Good luck with your fix

I have an '07 Tourmaster T40A and the passenger bedroom slide has a broken cable on the outside. Upper forward. Slide still works but obviously want this corrected. I had a guy who offered to replace the cable and claimed it was a 6hr job.

Has anyone done this themselves? Does anyone have the make of the system and/or a instruction sheet? I've seen some videos of the BAL Accu-slide and it doesn't seem too complex provided what I have is similar. Sure looks it.

Since I'm hunkered down in northern Alabama at a park waiting for the virus to run its course and we can start moving again, thought this might not be a bad project to tackle. That an an AC.
