Default Fuel Mileage

I just purchased a 34ft 2007 Gulf Stream Conquest Super C on a Kodiak 5500. The rig has 7000 miles on it, and I was wondering what kind of mileage I could expect. I am not currently towing anything.

Is yours gas or diesel?

My experience with the 8.1L gas engine is that you will get about 7.5 mpg if you are not towing. I tow a Honda Civic and get about 7.0 mpg when doing so.

My 8.1 gets 6.5 mpg nearly every time no matter the conditions.

Default Mileage

Having just completed a 3400 mile trip with varying conditions and lots of traffic with about half of that at highway speeds, we averaged 13+ miles per gallon. This was with the dash air running all the time , lots of idle time in stop and go traffic, fully loaded but not towing anything. Mileage ranged from 11.8 to 15.2, but overall was 13+.

When I bought it I was told to expect 12 to 14 mpg, but thought they we streaching it. Turns out they were right on the money.

If I tow something, the mileage will probably drop about 1 mpg.

Power is Ford 6.0 diesel.

Default Fuel Milage

My speed is usually about 65 - 68 mph where allowed. Sometimes if highway conditions are good I'll boost it to 75 where allowed.
