Default What's this blue wire for?

Hi,
I recently purchased a 2015 Track & Trail 17RTH Toy Hauler. I am replacing the batteries. I have the main red positive feeding back to the unit, but there is a smaller blue wire that was hooked to the positive lead as well, follows the main line to a junction box. What could this be powering, what is the chance of finding a wiring diagram for this unit? Thanks

I traced this wire out looked like it runs 12 volts through the break away device then back the the electric brakes. Should I fuse this wire?

The blue wire is usually for hydrsulic brakes hooked into
Your reverse lights on the vehicle when your vehicle in reverse
Disables the use of hydraulic brake solenoid to allow reversing of the
Trailer since you have electric brakes properly for
Revertbackup lights on the trailer

In your case it actually activates the electric brakes
If the break away is activated. Personally I would not fuse it as it adds an additional failure point when it is needed most.

Yes, Fuse to the wire size; I have read too many that wire grounded, melted, then roadside repair impossible.

Hello if it goes to the braking system there is no need to fuse that blue wire as it is protected through the fuse on the control box in the vehicle. If you need more info it should be in the manual that goes with the control box you have in particular!.
Hope this helps a little,
