Default Reversing springs?

Hey yall,

I have a new Conquest TT and currently the springs are mounted under the axle. I would like to get some additional height out of it and planned on moving the springs on top of the axle for the extra 4" or so of lift. The dealer won't do it citing that the axles are designed to have the springs mounted under. Every other RV owner I talked to says there is no ill effects of doing this type of surgery to the trailer. Anyone have any insight to the goods and or bads of this project? Thanks in advance.

Logan

Logan, My friend that we camp with did it to his 5th wheel without any problems and that was 6 years ago, Call RIRV (401-946-9610) Don is the owner. They are located in Johnston near the land fill. Very trust worthy and reasonable I have him do any work I can't do myself.

I really wanted to hear that someone you may have known did this with no ill effects. I'll end up doing it myself, just didn't want to do something that would create a safety issue or such. Thanks for the info.

I have heard of this being done many times with no ill effects. Issue for me would be how to do it without bending the frame when you pick the whole thing up.
