Default Wireless back up camera

has anyone installed a wireless back up camera on their unit? If so, were there wires etc. already there? I haven't picked up my camper yet but wanted info so I can purchase one and be ready to install.
Thanks

Done, was rather a simple task and works great, both truck and camper. All for under $125.

What did you get?

My wired camera works intermittently.

the only problem my trailer does not have back up lights. It has a wire for camera hook up but no back up lights.

32% of the buyers gave it a 1 star review. That's pretty bad. Probably going to keep looking. Thanks.

Some times I wonder if the ratings are all truthful, always someone throwing a wrench into things. My system is working fine, going to give them the benefit of the doubt, can always return it.

That's why you read to read the reviews and decide if they are real.

Like if the thing only works for 25' and you will be 40' from the camera.

Or if they say it doesn't have decent waterproofing.

You can tell if a review is just a whine or real.

Restorium, thank you for your insight. I do read the reviews but you can't always rely 100% on the reports, I have been camping for many years having 7 campers and certainly not following every review, you gotta go with what you think is good. I honestly have to say I haven't had anything I could not deal with as far as camping goes. Don't get me wrong reviews certainly help with what to buy.

It's all relative. In the other thread about this subject (you posted in) one member gave a rec for Tadi Bros cameras. They have better reviews. Cost just a little more but less malfunctions.

I'm a cheapskate, and $200 + for a camera system is a bit too much for me right now. I just dropped $$$$$ for a new trailer, with a camera mount on the rear one would think there would be a camera there would't one??

Continuously powered a "GoVue" aftermarket, WiFi, backup camera placed on the back of my Vista 19ERD TT. Transmitter was located with camera and signal to my mrk2 MyPad was too flakey (low refresh rate and easily interfered with) and dim to use a a rear view camera. Hope to someday mover the Wifi transmitter to the trailer drawbar.

I found the electrical wiring was messed up from the factory. They had the hot wire and ground wire from the installed plug run to a hot wire. Removed the ground wire from the hot wire and placed the ground wire where it was supposed to be and the camera works fine.
