Default Abs light

Has anyone had issues with abs light? I have a 2004 sunvoyager and have cleaned abs wheel sensors . Light went off for a short time but came back on. I had diagnostics done and it indicated bad wheel sensor. Light went off for a short time after replacing sensor. Has anyone had this problem? Sometimes light will go off for a few minutes, but always comes back on.

Bad wheel sensor. If you cleaned it and it worked then it didn't it could be that it is collecting particles on the sensor. I had a crank sensor like that once. Kept getting metallic brake dust stuck on it. I would clean it and it worked then it would malfunction again after a while. Had to change it.
At least you know what's wrong, you confirmed it when you cleaned it and the light went out. That's 2/3 of the battle.

Makes sense but I don’t think it should be so sensitive to a little dust. I will try cleaning them again.

My crank sensor was magnetized. Particles would pile up on it.
Not sure how or why it became magnetized. Until I switched it I kept having problems.
