Default 1999 Sun Voyager 8362SVB

Looking at purchasing this used unit. 25k miles and in very good condition. Has sat several years. Any initial input, warnings, comments on these units?

Default Be Prepared

Be prepared to change all of the rubber components. Hoses, belts and such. I don't know if it is gas or diesel so that's my engine input.

Check for soft spots in the floor. Around where the slide room(s)enter the coach. Look for evidence of animals having chewed wiring and fixtures.

Check the function of the appliances. If there is a red light switch it is a main switch for the hot water heater. That one got me!!!

So far I have had pretty good luck with my 2005. I am keeping a good eye on rubber components. I do have six new tires. My coach only had 8200 miles on it last year when I purchased it.

I have a 1999 Sun Sport that I purchased over 10 years ago. It's been a great unit. Look closely at the roof because that's where the biggest problems start. Look for stains on the ceiling. Be prepared to replace the shocks, brakes, and tires once you get her back on the road. The V-10 is a really nice engine. They have their share of electrical problems.

Thanks, looks like the tires need replaced. They’re in good shape but 10 years old. I’ll check the shocks and brakes too.

Check your ride height. Contact Spartan motors and give them your VIN. They will send you your ride height specs and where to measure from. This will tell you if your ride height valves are doing their job and if you need to adjust them. My suspension was only coming up 3", had to adjust and got it up to 7". Purchased parts at RVChassisparts.com for the "P" style linkage connectors (needed 3) and will install them today and see if that helps...Next...shocks.
