Default Generator compartment on 2003 Friendship

Does anyone know if the compartment slides out to service the generator easier? If so, what do I need to do to get it to slide out?

My Friendship does not slide out but you should be able to tell by looking at the front of the MH. If there is a large section of fiberglass that’s separate from the rest, perhaps you have a slide. If only a door that opens such that you can see the top front of the generator, no slide.

Thanks Dennis, it does have a large section separate from the rest.

Brent,

Many coaches of that vintage have hydraulic slide out mechanisms for the generator. These were made by PowerGear and others and would have their own independent pump, reservoir and switch so it would not be part of your slide room and leveling hydraulics. I have a small document that I will try to attach here...

It could also have a manual slide release cable pull handle if its mechanism is not hydraulic. Look at the upper left hand corner of the front access area if there is an upper part of the front opening that hinges up... It looks like there may be, since I see a couple of quarter turn fasteners with ACE key lock receptacles.
