2004 BT Cruiser 5210 Fuel Pump Switch

Hello everyone,

I recently got a 2004 BT Cruiser 5210 through a death in the family and I'm trying to get it started. The chassis is a 2003 F350 with the V10 with only 25,000 miles. It hasn't been started in about 2 years (or longer). The battery was dead (at least didn't have enough power to turn the engine over) so I replaced it. The engine now turns over fine, but won't fire off. I have been looking for the fuel pump cut off switch but can't locate it. According to information that I have found in the manual, it should be located above the brake pedal on a bracket, but I can't locate it.

Can anyone on the forum help me out?

Doubt if you have a "F" series, most likely "E" series cab cut a way. Find your answer by searching google.

On my 99e450sd, switch is over the passenger side kick panel, and relay is in FUSE/ RELAY POWER CENTER forward of driver near radiator. Good Luck.

1) If it has been sitting for years, how much fuel was in the tank? If not full, water and fuel breakdown may be keeping it from firing. It may be worth getting the old fuel pumped out and adding fresh. Probably don't want to hear it, but bad gas is a reality. 2) You can rent a fuel pressure tester from a lot of auto parts stores for free to see if you are getting fuel pressure to the motor first. If no pressure, then you can try to chase down causes like a cut-off switch or pump failure. Good luck.

Thanks Larry! I finally found the fuel pump ut off switch, it is actually located on the passenger side kick panel. It seems to be okay. We finally had the RV towed to a shop and to have the fuel issue checked out, fuel pump was dead. to make matters worse, when they where dropping the tank, they found that the fuel tank is all rusted and falling about on the outside, so now we are getting the tank replaced and all that goes with that. Looks like we are going to be in for about $2900 plus the $420 for towing. Not sure that this has been a good choice, but it only has 23,000 miles and not bad shape.

If U have a tank rusted out on outside in 23k, n=better look real hard that the FRAME???????
