Three weeks before taking off cross country, I (of course) discover that my tires have sidewall cracks! OUCH!!

I have Michelin 235/80r22.5 XRV. The best quote so far is $469 each, installed. One dealer said he could do better if I would switch to either TOYO or Bridgestone.

What are your experiences/opinions on brand of tires for our coaches?

Bob, I too noticed sidewall cracks on our coach tires just before we left Florida to come back to Ohio. I would not be afraid at all to switch to Toyo or Bridgestone tire from the Mickey Lands that are on it.

I know some truckers swear by the Toyo tires. Since we have to replace them so often with getting any wear from them, I believe the Toyo or Bridgestone would be fine.

I know some think the Mickey Lands  give a better ride but the cost difference I think the ride is not that much different from what I have been told.

RJ82much, I also think the less expensive tires will work fine for you. As you know, most coaches do not wear tires out because the M/H sits for most of the time, unlike cross country trucks that run several hunderd miles each day. Almost all of the tires on trucks will last for over 100,000 miles. Dry rot or cracks is the main concern for motor homes. Both brand names you mentioned will do fine.
