Dealers says that it is not necessary to use slide travel locks while driving, and that they have seen too many people forget to remove them when putting out the slides.

Do YOU use slide travel locks while driving?

With warm regards, James

YES. I think that the locks help prevent movement while traveling. There have been several posts about broken rollers on slideouts, perhaps the cause is movement or vibration of the slideout.

I used them on a long trip when my precious little granddaughter was buckled in to a seat on the slide. Otherwise, no.

No, I never use them. I see no need for them normally. The dealer I bought my Crescendo from says he seldom sees them used. He told me he used them once when he was driving a wrecked M/H without a windshield over to the glass place. The air pressure from the missing windshield was trying to blow the slides out at the top.

Yes, I always use them. Better safe than sorry I believe.
